I'm not the most computer savvy guy and was wondering how these graphics mods were applied to the games. They look really cool and I'd like to use them in my games.

Do you just unzip them into the game file?

Do both players in a PBEM game have to install the graphics packs in order for a game to be played?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

There is a readme.txt file in the zipped download that will give you instructions. Read through it and then see if you have any questions.

Okay I'm not finding any kind of readme file. I tried extracting the files into my game file. I started a scenario to see of the new graphics were applied and nothing had changed.

Like I said, I'm not very computer savvy and have never really figured out how to unzip files and such so I'm probably just doing it wrong.

There is a folder called "Map" directly under the main game folder (like "Campaign Gettysburg") which contains all the graphic files. When you copy the new files in you should get the warning that it is replacing an existing file since there should be a matching file with the same name as each file you are copying in. These are all "bmp" files.

If anything goes wrong you can get the original files back by copying from your HPS DVD. They will all be in the "Map" folder there as well.

from the Shiloh banshee team
These graphics have taken a long time to reserch and produce and are the property of the Old Banshee Team. They are meant for personal use in the HPS games. If you use them on your web pages or make financial gain from them then please put a link on your web page to our site, and share the financial gain.

Contents of download.

We have 2 folders in the zip file.

Order of Battle Folder.
These Orders of Battle have been altered to use these graphics. They will work with the units.bmp you may have already downloaded.

Units Graphics Folder.
This set of Graphics has the units.bmp and the anon.bmp.

How to place these files in the game.
The Unit, Leader and Unknown bmp's needs to be put in the info folder it will replace the original file so it is a good idea to backup or make copies of the original files.
The OOB's files go in the main page where the scenario's map's and oob's are, again these files will replace the original file so it is a good idea to backup or make copies of the original files.

We hope you enjoy these mods and if you need to contact us use this email: old_banshee@hotmail.com
The Banshee team is
Frank (Old Banshee) Mullins.
James Wilkes.
Bill Lott.
Rick DeNicolo

Have fun.
