My esteemed southern foemen: {salute}

I can with absolute reliability confirm the rumors that have been swirling around Richmond, Gainesville, Tuscaloosa and Baton Rouge that Generals Blake and Hebert will shortly issue General Orders for a complete Cease Fire during the Holy Period of "The College Football Season". During the said Holy Period, all games currently underway must be immediately forfeited to the Union, and all games begun, can last no longer than 5 turns before they must be forfeited.

I advise you to immediately begin preparations. If you have any questions, Gen. Joe Meyer is available to address them.

Respectful regards,

Lt. Martin {salute}

Nonsense!

Tis' the Yankees who are the masters of things ending prematurely. Often I have heard Yankee women complain about the men "letting them down" at inopportune times because of this Yankee disease. I guess it can be difficult to keep things up when you know, in the end, you just dont make the grade. We southerners always complete what we start, sir! Sometimes we finish it twice just to make sure. :mrgreen:

General Blake sir: {salute}

I realize I'm just Company Grade but I soon hope to be Field Grade. Regardless, I feel Molly Sue Zuterbak was satisfied with any grade. I was just in a hurry to get my unit back to my unit :oops: , so I could get back to the war with you Rebels.

Most respectfully sir,

Lt. Deano {salute}

Captain Martin <salute>

Suh, my compliments and congratulations for what appears to have been a promotion. I realize you Yanks are novices at this military thing, however if you change your letter head to read "Captain" you may want to sign off as such as well :wink:

As for the rest of your post, most of us Confederate officers are capable of dealing with you Yanks on the field of battle while watching the SEC do the same with those big-name teams from up north that have done little in almost a decade.

In short, there will be no "cease fire" issued to II Corps, Army of the Mississippi, from this command. Hunting season continues, and there is no bag limit.

You and General Blake continue discussing your "swords", we'll just keep fighting :mrgreen:
