So, as I am new the club (Still in my training game actually, haha!), I was curious as to what HPS Western theater title(s) is played the most often in the club? and which Western Theater HPS title is your favorite? As this theater is my favorite, I'm trying to figure out which next title to purchase next. I only own HPS Chickamauga and Corinth. I was thinking Franklin or Ozark, but wasn't too sure. What's your opinion? Thanks Guys! 8)

Welcome Cadet Martus: {salute}

I am very fond of the Western Theater, Chickamauga is my favorite and I will always be willing to give you a game anytime. I have HPS Chickamauga and Ozark, and will soon have Shiloh.

When you graduate with your commission look me up. There are great scenarios in my opinion in Chickamauga and Ozark.

Regards sir,

Lt. Col. Deano {salute}

Chickamauga I always think. Its a popular option that includes Chattanooga and Stones River as well.

Shiloh is pretty good and Atlanta is a mixed bag.

Others may argue but I'd stay away from Vicksburg and Franklin. Unless your trying to "complete your set" I'd skip them.

Didn't Dean Martin plan an ex-Confederate in "The Sons of Katie Elder"? I could look this up on wikipedia or something but thats no fun to cheat. I know he and his brothers were from Texas at least.

I just can't picture Dean Martin in a war. He'd be worse than Cameron stumbling all over the field asking people for a drink.

I don't recall his background in "The Sons of Katie Elder", but he was a US Cavalry Sergeant in "Sergeants 3". :mrgreen:

Dean Martin did some good acting in the "Young Lions" opposite Marlon Brando no less.

Well I would have picked Shiloh from the ones you don't have but if that is your only two choices then I'd say Ozark.

Franklin is very tough for CSA. I like Atlanta but I would go with Ozark between the two.
