Gentlemen of the ACWGC,

After a long month of nominations, campaigning, and voting – the ACWGC has achieved a new record in voter turnout! I believe we had about 50 – 60 votes in the 2010 presidential election. In the election just completed we had a total of 142 votes cast. Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote this week!

I must say that both candidates handled a very trying week with quiet dignity and I thank them for their service to the Club and for volunteering their personal time to run for this office. The job of president is an important one and something that requires a lot of one’s “computer time” each week. Over a two-year span those hours add up and it’s a tribute to everyone who runs and serves on the Cabinet that they so willingly give of their personal time.

The final vote tallies are:
Gen. Mark Nelms – 67 Votes
Gen. Pierre Desruisseaux – 75 Votes

Gen. Pierre will become the new Club President effective November 1, 2012 and his term will run until October 31, 2014.

I hope everyone will join me in wishing Gen. Pierre the best of luck over his tenure as President. There are many important issues the Club will be dealing with over the next few months and I want to encourage everyone to give Pierre, and everyone on the Cabinet, their full cooperation and support.

As always I look forward to seeing you all on the Forums and on the battlefields! Please be sure to try and visit the forums once a month to catch up on any Club News and Tournaments.

Fellow Members.

I would like to thank the people who organized the election, always a lot of time and effort. I would like to thank all those who have participated with questions and voting. I would like to thank my opponent for a good battle.

I hope that I will meet your expectations as President. I see a lot of work ahead. The Cabinet will be reviewing the election process and hopefully add some guidelines that will make the process as fair and equitable for all.

Thank you again. :)

General Pierre D.
President Elect

Gentlemen <salute>

A hell of a good turnout compared to the last presidential election, and my congratulations to both candidates for tossing their hats in the ring.

Congratulations Gen. and Club President - (Elect) Pierre Desruisseaux and his opponent Gen. Mark Nelms.

I wish them, and the club, a satisfactory term.

I would also like to congratulate outgoing President, (and General - CSA), Blake Strickler on the fine job he has done as an administrator for the club, poster, designer, and honorable opponent.

Salutes, cigars, and a shot for these gentlemen and the club!
<salute>

as someone previously stated ..kudos to Gen. Mark Nelms and Gen. Pierre Desruisseaux for running a very clean election ... and for having the courage to at least run for the position
I know we will all support our new President and I genuinely hope Mark continues to assist in our club....I believe his time will come soon....
