Post subject:  Gen John Dragan breaks the 6000 point barrier
One of the clubs long serving officers e-mailed me earlier this week and said that he had reached 6000 OBD points. Gen John Dragan had reached this total on the back of a Major Victory – his 643rd battle. So I thought dang that is an impressive number and that I should look at his stats:

Total 643 battles and maneuvers fought.
Battles 596
Maneuvers 44
VMI Training battles 12
Major Victories 127
Minor Victories 50
Draws 99
Minor Defeat 58
Major Defeat 309
Points by combat alone 4379
He is ahead of any other club member by 1440 points (Gen Mark Nelms on 4560)
Most battles on the go at one time 20
Best year 89 battles and maneuvers closed out
Average per year 79 battles and maneuvers closed out.

To me these stats mean that Gen Dragan has devoted considerable time and energy to our club and to our hobby – well done Suh <salute>

I was going to present John his sixth Joseph E. Johnston Medal of Recognition, but we have yet to design and issue a ribbon for it :shock:

That's one heck of a record and the fact that those 6000 pts. are not just from games but for your service in admin. positions speaks volumes for you commitment to this club.

I joined the club in december last year and we already played 11 games in 10 months

That is some mighty fine game play... Yes Sir, mighty fine. A very impressive score, and mostly accumulated in trial by combat. Your other services to the Club are well known and equally appreciated, but still...643 games...that is a prodigious number of clicks. Thank you for your contributions to the game.

As one of John's long time opponents I'll take credit for some of those 6k points he has amassed. And next July, at Gettysburg, I'll give him some Mississippi found mini-balls for his Civil War collection. Salute Brother.
