Random information - I am going through the club records right now.

Anyone want to guess the most popular real-life name in the Club?

Don't overthink this - its a classic male first name.

Think of this as Family Feud! I have the top three answers!

1. ?
2. ?
3. ?

I'm gonna guess:
1) William/Bill/Will/Willie etc.
2) Joe
3) Deano*

*Absolutely most popular among those named Deano

Sorry, although there are 31 members named Bill/Will/William/Willie. But that does not make the list of the top three names in the Club.

It is in 4th place though.

Okay Gen. Blake,

Using Deanographic scientific sampling methods, with an 8% sample size; a +/- 4% margin for error; a standard deviation of 100; and a confidence level of 0; I can state with absolute certainty that the most popular name in the club is:

1) Gen.

The #2 is: Maj. Gen.

#3 is Deano

If I can be of further service, just let me know.

Deano

Wrong again Deano.

The most popular rank in the Club, using the DoR, is Colonel. There are 137 listed Colonels, 127 Lt Colonels, 126 Maj. Generals, 78 Generals, and 73 Lt. Generals.

Deano, just being a stats geek, but did you do a normality test on the data? I would guess that it is not normal

Normality test? :?: DOR?

I didn't even think of that! I just made it up as I was going along. A whole lot like I fight most of my battles. :o

And obviously with the same results!

He suffered a Major Defeat as the Union Forces at the Battle of Franklin... to Braxton Bragg.

He once lost a "Most Likely To Succeed" contest to Saddam Hussein.

He played a two person hot seat game with himself; and suffered two Major Defeats.

He is Deano Martin, the least competent man in the club.

Stay stupid my friends...

Gentlemen <salute>

Deano and I are in a bit of a scrap at Murfreesboro (meeting engagement), and he's handled himself very well so far (22 turns). Don't let him pull the wool over your eyes into expecting an inferior opponent.

My pick for top names:

1) Robert
2) Tim
3) Nicodemus (only one, but most everyone's heard of him)

Incorrect.

There are "only" 27 Rob/Robert/Roberto's in the Club. Just 7 Tim's. One Nicodemus.

The top three answers are still on the board!

Remind me not to choose any of you for our Trivial Pursuit match at the annual TillerCon!
