So there is a chance I might loose power as I am pretty close to the hurricane on the US East Coasts path....so I might be out of contact for a few days....

Scott,

I'll be thinking about and praying for you. Believe me, I know what you're about to go through. Well, without the snow.

Best of luck. Come back here and let us know when you get power back on.

Best Wishes and Regards,

Deano

Thanks Deano. I am sure you are quite familiar with it. It will only be a category one and I am far enough inland worse is the power goes out for a while and/or my car gets crushed by a tree. I think I picked a good parking spot in the lot. :D My power company is pretty good though, so we shall see. Wilmington, Delaware is going to "screw the pooch" so to say as it will pass right over it. They have evacuated the Delaware and NJ shores and NYC subway is closed now.

With all this mass panic along the East Coast it is a prime opportunity for the South to rise again and march on Washington! I will have to pick up the Red Phone and make a few calls to our militia leaders. If we can sober up Cameron in time I think we have a chance for victory!

Gents I am as sober as a drunken Judge - I am not too sure if it is entirely fair to use Sandy as a tactical advantage - but war is war. Went though the same thing about 18 months ago, so I know how it goes down - you all stay safe.

Actually Washington was partially saved by tornados in the War of 1812 when the British tried to burn it down

In a bizarre twist three tornados struck down in Washington the day after the British captured the capital and they quickly fled the city taking quite a few losses from the winds and destruction.

Add that to the list of reasons it sometime seems God loves the Americans. What are the odds of three tornados striking the US Capital the day after the British capture it?

I'm sure it's only a coincidence that FXM showed Cloverfield last night.

Hope you are safe and back online. My power was out for 28 hrs and I managed to overload my generator just before the end. Won't do that again...

That is pretty funny Andrew..... :) Btw what dos your forum username mean? Is it an ancestor who fought in the war?

28 hours, that is a good chunk of time. Thankfully I didn't loose it at all. Came close a few times....
