Gentlemen of the ACWGC,

Gen. Joseph Meyer has served the ACWGC and the Union Armies as the Union CoA over the past two years. His term as Union CoA is coming a close this month and the process to nominate and elect a new Union CoA begins today.

Per Club Rules:

3.3.4.2.1 To be eligible for a CoA position, a member must hold the rank of Lieutenant General or above in their respective Army.

To nominate an officer for CoA log onto the DoR and click on the "Contact ACWGC Cabinet Members" link on the DoR. Here place your nomination for the position of CoA being sure to include a statement that if elected they will agree to serve.

Per Club Rules:

3.3.4.1.2 In the election of a CoA, only members at the rank of Lieutenant General or General, at the time the voting period begins, may vote for the CoA representing their respective military group.

Those officers eligible to vote will be notified via email should there be multiple candidates for the position.

Per Club Rules:

3.3.3. Terms of Office. Each Cabinet member will serve a term of two (2) years. Any Cabinet member may succeed himself in his elected office once, for total of four years. After the second term, the member must wait for one election period to run again for the same seat.

Gen. Joe Meyer is eligible to be nominated and serve for an additional term as Union CoA.

The Duties of the CoA are:
3.1.2.9 Chief of the Armies (“CoA”). Duties include:
a) Maintaining games in a timely and enjoyable fashion agreeable to all parties involved.
b) Maintaining a roster of active members of the military group.
c) Gathering reports from assigned junior officers.
d) Assigning officers to positions in the hierarchy of the military group.
e) Maintaining a web site for the military group.
f) Serving on the Club Cabinet.
g) Other duties as necessary to maintain order within the military group.

The timetable for the Election will be
Feb. 1 - 7: Nominations
Feb. 8 - 21: Campaigning
Feb. 22 - 28: Voting
