Hail Gentlemen!

Cadet Mark Lane has completed his training with Flying Colors!

He'll be receiving his commission & command soon & Yankees Beware!

BGG – 06. Longstreet’s Other Boot
Cadet Lane, after 9 of 12 Turns had amassed 2765 Victory Points,
needing but 800 for a Major Victory
(which amount he had in Objective Points)

He inflicted 8850 Union Infantry Losses against 6275 sustained,

Eliminated a stunning 44 Artillery Losses against none suffered
&
Eliminated 11 Federal Leaders against losing 4 of his own.

Even I am not that bad of a player, so let's give it up for
a very welcome addition to the Confederate Officer Corps!

REBEL YELL!

I do admit a partiality to making artillery crews pay.

Lions of the Hour
by Keith Rocco

The VMI Corps of Cadets fought as a unit at the Battle of New Market, Virginia, on May 15, 1864. Two hundred fifty seven cadets were on the field, organized into a battalion of four companies of Infantry and one section of Artillery. Ten cadets were killed in battle or died later from the effects of their wounds; 45 were wounded. The youngest participating cadet was fifteen; the oldest twenty-five.

Sooooo your sending boys out to do a man's job?

Is this the vaunted Southern Chivalry that I have heard?
I should hope not!

Respectfully

General Korotko <salute>

Suh, my compliments!

The facts are as General Phillips stated, and the 10 Cadets killed are honored still today at VMI. Speak carefully about "sending boys out to do a man's job" if you're referring to the historical battle, as there are Virginia Military Institute graduates among our members. They fought as men, and fought well.

Is it a wonder we've never heard of "Northern Chivalry"?

Generals Herbert and General Phillips,

Let us not forget that the picture used was to congratulate a cadet in our club for his successful completion in training.

I thought the picture used did not fit the occasion. Those Rebs look like they are running away!

I appreciate the knowledge that I recieved about this particular painting, and for that I am grateful. I was ignorant of the painting's depiction.

And... with all due respect... and NOT referring to any historical battle, regiment or event...
Does the ACWGC VMI train their cadets to run away!!

Colonel Koch <salute>

Suh, my compliments!

I've been running for almost four years now. It's a pretty tiring affair
