I know not a Club related matter, but it impacts my work here. Anyone know if the free ad based version that has just Word and Excel that usually comes part of a PC purchase...is that only good for a certain amount of time? All of a sudden it is telling me I need to purchase Office?? Thanks! |

I don't know the answer -as mine did that yesterday (I had been using like this past weekend I think). Ok- MS Office (ad based) -wants me to switch to Open Office 4.0 and update my files to show OO as the default program. Time to ditch MS Office ad supported from my HD... no worries. Someday it might be back if I get around to it, but Open Office has basically the same functionality anyway. |

I use LibreOffice. It's free and for the basic stuff I do seems to perform well. http://www.libreoffice.org/ |
