John Ferry or Ken Jones,

Kelly Ross and I are embarking on the 1390 turn campaign scenario. I know there must be some house rules somewhere dealing with supply and reinforcements. Where can we find these?

it is in the main Campaign Overland Folder, called Notes_Overland_Scenario.txt.

Copy and paste into word for easier reading. I am in turn 7 vs. Gen Korotko...

(1390 turns/5 turns a week) = 278 weeks or 5.3 years - dang you boys are keen.

100-640504-campaign

It is about the 6th scenario.

Wish they would make a map that big for Campaign Gettysburg.

I commend all of you folks who are embarking on the gaming adventure that I call the Monster Scenario  So what if it takes years? Life will go on regardless whether or not you play it, so why not have some fun!
The notes are there, as someone noted, and I consider them still to be a work in progress, so if you have any questions or points to make, I would incorporate the answers into the notes. I do recommend that you consider having a third party as a referee of sorts to arbitrate points of order. This game calls for numerous gentlemen's agreements and a proactive approach. Don Vandergriff and I playtested it out to "only" about 250 turns. Some replacements have an historical event trigger, but the scenario tends to play out faster than historically, so there allowances that need to be made.
I'll answer any queries as quickly as I can.

There is a map in existence that takes in from Harrisburg to the North Carolina line!
Not available in stores

Guys:

Don't be intimidated. I don't think that the scenario will run its full course because the ANV won't be able to build defensive works fast enough to prevent Grant from capturing Richmond or destroying Lee's army. Remember, Richmond had years to build their defensive works. I suggest the Rebels start digging in immediately.

Just my thoughts... but go for it.

KJ

Guys.

Be intimidated.
Be very intimidated.
It will take me years to figure out just how to skedaddle back to the safe confines of D.C.

Cut to: A group of Union Officers at some undetermined crossroads turning a map from side to side to side
1st Union Officer: "I think it is that way" (pointing in one direction)
2nd Union Officer "I think it is that way" (pointing in another direction)
3rd Union Officer "No, I think it is that way" (pointing in another direction)
(to be repeated for the amount of Union Officers currently in this gaggle)

I am only counting on Gen. Pfleck to be just as lost as I am!

Still, great fun and good job John, Don, and all others.
Even if I get just "one" game out of the title I will have made a fantastic return on the investment.
(Approx $50 divided by the rest of my life = well worth it)

<salute>

If you want a REAL challenge, try playing the whole game in large scale 3-D and the jump dialog, with only period maps to go by.
