Gents I was doing my customary rounds of Union Taverns, doing QA/QC work, when I came upon some startling news at the AoT Tavern!! "The Eagles Lurch is to be sold to make way for a Mrs Miggins Pie Shop and Bordello franchise. Gen Meyer is reported as stating that “the Lurch is no longer paying its way due to the lack of Reb Officers visiting so I had to sell it”. The new franchise owner; Miss Lulu Bell Humpalot told a local reporter that there will be a debauched grand opening held prior to Christmas and that people will view Christmas Elves in a whole new light". Well gents being a personal friend of Mrs Miggins I can assure you that any of her franchises will be well worth a visit. So do support the new venture and remember to support the great cause and buy goods and services from any retailer showing the "Buy Confederate Made" sign |

Maybe I am being dumb (don't laugh) - what the devil is a pip shop? Is it some strange Aussie/NZ product? Only pips I know are in fruit or on officer's shoulders. I do know what the rest of the franchise name describes. Certainly agree BUY CONFEDERATE! What the devil does a pip shop sell? Anyway the change sounds a huge improvement on the dull old Lurch. |

It was a slight spelling mistake, which I have corrected. However it should be a lesson to all persons who post, never drink and post

Do we make anything? I mean, except trouble? Thinking: lobsters? (touchy, just like us) long horn cattle? (handy, if push comes to shove) Southern charm in a bottle? (that's a stretch) tattered hats & cloaks? (might not be in big demand) But, by all means apply the Confederate Made label. <salute!> |
