JAN 14 Muster Posted in the AoS Back Room 29 Jan 14
Good Sirs,

I send you greetings for the New Year and am pleased to be returning to the AoS Cadre after an absence of over 10 years.

My name is Randy Brooks and when I withdrew from the ACWGC in late 2002 I had reached the rank of Lt Gen in the AoS as it was organized at that time. I am not exactly sure when I joined the Club, but it was in its formative years. To my recollection I joined shortly after the CS & US sides merged into a single organization. The MDT was already in existence as a meeting place. The Union had established West Point as the training academy and the OBD method of awarding points to members had been established.

Unfortunately, the detailed records of my previous membership are stored on the drives of computers I used previously. I will be attempting to recover that info to provide to the club. While I often engaged in single and team combat actions, my major duty was as an Instructor at West Point. If you scroll down far enough where former members are listed, you will see my name and the names of some of the members I trained. But current Club records do not seem to go back to cover the time of my membership. Thus my desire to data-mine my older hard drives for data.

I have been assigned to the VIII Corps, 1st Division, 4th Brigade. To the best of my recollection, I am a former member of the VIII Corps in my previous membership, so am proud to return to fight under that flag.

I am happy to have returned to the Club and look forward to many pleasant contests alongside my Brothers in the Army of the Union!

<SALUTE!>

Your Obedient Servant

Randy Brooks

Gen. Brooks,

I can't help you with your combat record but I do have some old html files from when I kept the AotS webpages. According to the Retired/Reserve page I have from 2001 you had earned

Medal of Honor - now known as the Defender of the Union Medal

Distinguished Service Medal

T2K Ribbon - Tennesee River Campaign Tournament - 2000

AoA-AoS Challenge Tournament Ribbon - 2001
