If you look at the scenario 00c_Hist_Seven Pines_May 31-June 1, {(Seven Pines (overflow, mud)}you will see that weather, rain, mud, is built into PDT 0May_pdt.pdt.

Other games, like Antietam, the weather aspect variants show as a {W} in the scenario name.

I think you can see weather effects in PDT files, but I have no idea of WHERE!

Maybe the definitive answer would be to ask Rich H.

Although for some games Rich Walker might be a source.

BTW, great work from the Banshee team!!!!

John Ferry has some log in problems, so he asked to have this posted, FYI:

I am currently unable to post on the ACWGC. I can read everything, but when I type out username and password I get bumped off.
Anyway, just wanted to point out that every Overland PDT has info for two months, May-June, 1864, or for Mine Run in Nov '63. Ken Miller's engineer site has the info on what the numbers mean.
I got the weather info from a book by Robert Krick which details the weather in Virginia for the entire war.
I think title is "Civil War weather in Virginia."
Please share on the forum.
J

Silly me when I referred to Richard, I meant Richard Simonitch who has done much of if not all the weather variants for the team.

Well from the readme for that scenario I get the impression that the movement costs were adjusted to simulate the effects of the weather.
But the weather feature itself is not used, usually weather data can be found before the weapon data but here this is all we can find:
Weather
None

There are just 4 PDTs in Campaign Penninsula and none of them uses the weather feature.

So doing weather variant scenarios for this game seem a bit more complicated as the movement costs must be rolled back to normal values that then get modified by the weather features movement cost modifier.
