Unlike Gettysburg it seems that this time all 2.0 patch are given a little public test phase before being officially released.
Atlanta 2.0:

Corinth 2.0:
http://hpssims.com.c7.previewyoursite.c ... php?t=5559

Shiloh 2.0:
http://hpssims.com.c7.previewyoursite.c ... php?t=5561

Vicksburg 2.0:
http://hpssims.com.c7.previewyoursite.c ... php?t=5560

In a case were one has to report something but isn't on that board and doesn't want to join that board please post here and I will repost it there.
Happy testing!

FYI: HPS Gettysburg patch for v2.0 WAS TESTED BEFORE being released.

You can put out valid information without all these little digs you seem throw in.

ONE of the IMPORTANT items to get out is that HPS Version 2.0 IS NOT COMPATIBLE with ANY other HPS VERSION, regardless of the HPS game title. In the case of Gettysburg, HPS VERSION 1.05 is NOT compatible with HPS Version 2.0.

Both players in a game, must upgrade to HPS v2.0 to continue a game.

Please continue to post your helpful comments.

Sorry I should have been more precise here and have corrected it now.
What I meant was that it wasn't PUBLICLY tested, at least I didn't see any public announcement for it on the unofficial board nor any other source like it is done now for the other 2.0 patches.
The sudden official release came very surprisingly for me and all others I guess and the only ones not surprise were the testers.

BTW wasn't the incompatibility always so? I mean wasn't it always mandatory to have the game patched to the same version to do HtH games?

Yes, but to avoid any confusion, it needs to be emphasized.

Generally, there are not any public notices of HPS/JTS on going projects, including testing of releases and/or patches and USUALLY there are no public betas for general public testing.

There are a collection of play testers of HPS/JTS titles that do work on new title projects.

Ernie........be careful using the word "confusion".

I mentioned "confusion" in other post and got jumped on for doing so.

Technically speaking - I think you can actually post as a guest on the public area of Rich's board - I think that I have done it by accident before. I guess he might have changed it but I doubt it.

Not sure why someone would care so much as to provide feedback but then at the same time have some sort of issue with joining a board in order to do so, but whatever...
