Thanks Suh The assignment orders for the 1st Corp - Hardee's have gone out to all officers in the command - off to bed the rest will be dispatched tomorrow

OH, OH! Does this mean that we'll be facing a re-energized southern cadre, ready to overrun the North?!!! Just how many of you rebellious brigands remain? We thought for a minute there that this war might have been concluded and that we'd be able to march down Pennsylvania Avenue in glory! But I see and hear that our parade might have to be put off for a while. This is most disconcerting...most disconcerting indeed! We had no idea that General McOmish could stay off the liquor long enough to do much of anything. And now here he is sending out final orders to the Western gray horde to take their places besides the Eastern gray horde in what can only be termed a troublesome rising from the ashes! Have we not worn out enough keyboards and monitors in this thing already, not to mention "horses"? How many more sleepless nights must be spent in planning our moves for the morrow and in tossing fitfully on our tent cots, wondering where the next ragged trooper will appear? How many more tournaments, MP and solo contests must be resolved on those battlefields? How much more money and whiskey must be expended before the last shot is fired? This thing will grind us all down to the nubs! And we shall be happy and content with it for years to come. (And are you going to bring that damned alligator along with you again?) |
