For Massachusetts members with a VHS (videocassette) working
I have recently come across a VHS video in the NOBLE library network "Echoes of the Blue and Gray: Civil War Veterans on VideoCassette" - a compilation of still and film clips from the early 1900's focusing on Civil War veterans.
It is requestable for Massachusetts library users through VIRTCAT (the Massachusetts wide library request system). VirtCat is accessible through your library online catalog or by contacting your local reference librarian. (Members of Minuteman Library system which has withdrawn from the VirtCat system can request only by contacting your local reference librarian.)
Also, there are many other materials available (I am awaiting a DVD on the battle of Franklin).
Lastly, the Randolph, MA public library (Old Colony Library Network) has a SUPERIOR Civil War collection as the past director of the library was a Civil War historian and accumulated a magnificent collection.
Check it all out.

If anyone is interested in this video, and is having difficulties with getting it through VirtCat, contact me and I will try to streamline getting it to you.
