"The Commanders of Manassas" - by Mort Künstler

Who wants to see John Pope cry at Manassas soon?!?

One of my favorite battles in the east & a masterpiece of Lee's use of his leaders/men's talents.....anniversary around the corner!

So eat yer flapjacks, grab yer gun and make 'em Yankees run!!

Here's some good Bluebelly huntin' music from the ol' 2nd South Carolina String Band!

Hi Scott,

Great artwork, really like Mort's stuff, and the music is pretty good too.

I hate to burst your bubble but the last 2nd Manassas story I heard was the whole Butternut ANV was in tears and running for the hills. :0) I whooped'em pretty good for a Union major victory in my match.

No heroics by Lee or fancy general wizardry. Just a bunch of sobbing Rebs with soar behinds and some new found respect for the Billy Yanks. ;0)

Mort's good and I like Don Troiani. I might like Don's stuff more now. I use him heavily on the CSA pages. Though I love Mort's winter and night time scenes. In particular his "Confederate Winter" with Richard Taylor.

I am a bit surprised that you were able to get down that Longstreet and get past that Stonewall... :P You probably made good use of Reynold's PA Reserves early on.... :)
