This is the announcement for the upcoming election of the position of CSA Chief of the Army. The current CSA Chief of the Army: General Scott Ludwig, Term: Dec. 15, 2014 (Elected) - Dec. 14, 2016 (1st Term End Date) has reach the end of his 1st term and so an election has to take place according to the club rules. The Election Committee consists of: General Derald Riggs General David Danner Brig. Gen. Christian Hecht The dates of the election are as follows: September 23 - Announce the Upcoming Election September 26 to October 2 - Nomination Period October 3 to October 16 - Campaigning Period October 17 to October 23 - Voting Period Note that the Campaigning Period & Voting Period will only take place if there is more than one nominee. In case there is only one club rule 3.3.4.1.7 applies and the nominee will be elected by acclamation. All officers of the Confederate States of America (CSA) are encouraged to participate in this process as it is not only important for the CSA but for the club overall. The club wouldn't be here without all of you as members and those of us who help to run the club. It is requested that commands inform their members at every level in order to ensure the best possible participation The Union side of the Cabinet administers this election, just as the CSA does it for Union elections, to make a fair process. All details regarding this election can be found under the club rules section 3.3 Club Governance. Details for the appropriate steps of nomination, campaigning and voting will be detailed in the corresponding threads. The next thread will handle the Nomination Period with all details needed for anyone who wants to participate, either by nominating someone or by volunteering as candidate. |
