We offer spacious accomodations right on scenic Lake Erie! Enjoy the breeze off the lake in the summer and, good behavior permitting, a bit of winter fishing! We have just had our shuffleboard courts redone and now, for our more constructive prisoners, arts and crafts!
You thought you looked good in a Rebel uniform! Wait till you see yourself in our striped jumpsuits!
Gentlemen...we ask this in all sincerity. Let us...help you.
Gentlemen who wish to may join our state of the art pioneers to lay the roads for us as we march triumphantly into the heart of the Southland. This, of course, will be kept in account at your trial at the wars end.

So you admit he is "President" Davis. It seems we have been officially recognized by at least one junior grade Yankee officer! The Confederate States of America thanks you, sir!

I suggest defecting to our side now before your fellow officers hear of your admission and begin to boil the tar and prep the feathers. You will enjoy life as a Confederate. We will even give you a plum posting to a comfy Florida panhandle coastal fortification to relax for a while and escape the Yankee winter.

I have no trouble saying "President" Jefferson Davis. If the Confederacy was a recognized government, then we would have an issue.
It's kind of like being head Mousekateer at the Micky Mouse Club.
