Gentlemen <salute> I have received the following recommendations from UA CoA Major General Boling: ___________________________________________________________________ WAR DEPARTMENT OFFICE OF THE GENERAL-IN-CHIEF WASHINGTON, DC June 19th, 2021 TO: Cabinet FROM: General-in-Chief SUBJECT: Recommendation for Promotions – June 2021 REFERENCES: Paragraph 4.1, ACWGC Club Rules Union Army Standing Order #2, Promotion to the General Officer Ranks I offer my strongest personal recommendation for the promotions below and encourage the President to move these nominations to the Voting Booth where the Cabinet may expeditiously vote on the matter. Brig Gen Newell to Maj Gen. Brig Gen Newell joined ACWGC at the end of July 2020 and was assigned to the AotS VI/ 2 /7. He was subsequently transferred to VI/1/6 after completing the AotS advanced training course. Throughout his tenure, Brig Gen Newell has been an active and successful camper. Brig Gen Newell was appointed to Division Command in January 2021 and was given the opportunity in April to also act as interim AotS Commander. He currently holds both command positions with distinction. Maj Gen Sober to Lt Gen Maj Gen Sober joined in September 2017 and was assigned to the AotT, 1st Division, XV Corps, 7th Reserve Brigade. He was subsequently selected for Division Command in November 2018 and has served in that role since then. In December 2020 Maj Gen Sober was named CofS for the UMA. In March 2021 he was selected as interim General-in-Chief until the conclusion of the regular election for the position. In May 2021, Maj Gen Sober was elected to the Cabinet. Col Schwartz to Brig Gen Col Schwartz joined the ACWGC in 2020. Upon graduation from the Academy, he was assigned as a Brigade Commander in the Army of the Potomac. Col Schwartz is an enthusiastic gamer and completed 32 matches in the first year of his membership. In all aspects of gam play he comports himself with honor and dignity and he has fought every contest to its conclusion; never walking away from a game. Col Schwartz has never missed a muster. It was his excellent gaming record and eagerness to serve that caused me to offer him the position of Army Chief of Staff; a role he has fulfilled to the highest standards and in which he continues to serve. Lt Gen Dortch to General Lt. Gen Dortch joined the ACWGC in October of 2017. From October of 2018 until March 2020, he served as DC for the -/2/V AotP. From April-December 2020 he served as CC for the -/-/V AotP. From December 2020 until the present Lt. Gen Dortch has served as the Club President and Eastern Theater Commander. Lt Gen Dortch is an active and engaged leader who devoted an exceptional degree of time, energy, and thought to improving the administration and operations of the ACWGC. I urge the Cabinet to recognize the achievements of these superb officers through their well-earned promotions. J.L. Greatly deserved promotions for a group of great officers! The lads in blue are starting to look particularly well led of late, though we're going to have to do some further background checks on that Dortch fella...unless, of course, he's offering to stand for the first few rounds  <SALUTE!>

Looking at the age of the club it is very good to see such "young" members rising through the ranks & positions and are now contributing on important posts. All promotions are very well deserved without a doubt. <SALUTE> gentlemen! PS 2012? Gee the moonshine must be excellent!
