Officers of the ACWGC <salute> It is my pleasure to announce the Cabinet's unanimous approval of the following promotions: Lt Gen Newell to General. Maj Gen Newell joined ACWGC at the end of July 2020 and was assigned to the AotS VI/ 2 /7. He was subsequently transferred to VI/1/6 after completing the AotS advanced training course. Throughout his tenure, Brig Gen Newell has been an active and successful officer. Maj Gen Newell was appointed to Division Command in January 2021 and was given the opportunity in April to also act as interim AotS Commander and later as acting VI Corp commander from September. His OBD is 1,047. He currently serves as the commanding general of the Army of the Tennessee and sustains his vigorous campaigning in the field. Brig Gen Crawford to Maj Gen. Brig Gen Crawford joined the UA in Oct 2012. He assumed command of the 2nd Division XX Corp from Feb 2021 to present and is now in command of the 4th Division XVI Corp. For his exceptional service in division command, he was awarded the Honorable Service Medal. His OBD points stand at 611, sufficient for promotion to Lt Gen, save for his service at higher levels of responsibility.
