I just opened a Gettysburg Campaign battle and when watching the enemy replay all his units were revealed. I then opened different game and the same thing happened. I also have a Wagram game going and the same thing has happened. Does anyone know what is wrong and how to fix it?

The usual advice is, delete your pbemail. and campaign.xxx and .yyy files (four files total) regularly. At this stage, however, you may already have corrupted game files. If possible, go back 2-3 turns to a good file.

Is it possible you could be using different versions? I think this happened to me once and that was the problem.

Deleting the recomended files has corrected the problem. As I understand now we should delete said files on a regular basis?

Yes. Bill made up a quick and dirty BATCH file to do that to all your games, but you can just as easily delete these files EACH TIME you send the file to your opponent. You have to be in the folder, anyway, to ZIP and send out the turn.

I am Jon's opponent in the Wagram game that this happen. Do I understand correctly if you do the file deletions the first replay you see the problem, you can correct it?

If you always delete the files after every turn, you should not have a problem.

Actually, no. When the problems occurs, the file is usually already corrupted. You should delete these files regularly to prevent that from happening.

As has been said, you can use a .bat file with a simple four lines to delete *all* the .xxx and .yyy files in *all* your game folders at once.

But you can just as well delete these files manually in the game folder. When I go in to zip the file, I sort the folder after the file date in descending order, which brings the game files as well as the .xxx and .yyy files to the top. I then can to both things at once.
