I am attempting to edit scenarios using the CW Editor (5/1998) in BG Chickamauga. I receive a message "Error reading MAIN.MAP", although the game itself opens without any problem. The MAIN.MAP file is the one included with the BGC install. Anyone know what is going on here? BG Robert Frost Army of Cumberland |

Hi Robert! Possibly a "Lockout" code - to prevent Ye altering/making Scenarios? I seem to recall hearing that Talonsoft got a bit - "Touchy" and unsupportive towards Customers - just before they wound up and took their Toys Home! [:D] Rich would prob'ly be able to fill Ye in . . seems to me. [:p] Not much help - I know but m'be Ye know where to look in the File for such a sneaky Code? [;)] Regards, Pat. Never mind (quoting Emily Latela of Gilda Radner fame). Didn't realize that the Editor for BGC differs from the 5/1998 version. Copied off the BGC CD and all is well. BG Robert Frost Army of Cumberland |
