Officers of the Union!!!

I need your help. One of the finest and most storied Corps in the entire Army needs a leader. Who among you is willing to step to the front and lead the "Fighting First" Corps against our foes? Can you stand in the same place of history as Irwin McDowell, Joe Hooker or John Reynolds?

If you think you would want to help, send me an email at jdlaub@msn.com.

I have posted this in each of the Army taverns, and wanted to post here for those who may not frequent their local watering hole as often as others.

General Laub,

I sent a courier your way a few days ago, did it ever reach its destination?

A Reb Field Lieutenant as Federal corps commander? What a creative idea. Are you practicing for reconstruction, my good sir? [:D]

While many suspected McClellan's Corps commanders of siding with the enemy, you won't find that sentiment in todays Army of the Potomac![:D]

Of course, we're always up for a drink in the taverns after a well fought match...[:p]

Lt Slepetz, your courier did pass through the lines, and has been sent back to your HQ this morning, good to see you back in action!

Sirs,
Seems fine to me, don't tell me them yankees are prejuidice--that would be a coup for our reb propaganda. One Reb, Fld. Lt. taking a position where no Yankee Generals volunter--you suppose them is fair trading--wonder ifin we will get anything out of the deal. Perhaps, Fld. Lt. Brad Slepetz you can come across something on a desk or in a bag, or something--perhaps some battleplans or such.
