rules and stuff it ant good but its all i got

Creating Generals

You can play individual generals in other units. Submit a letter saying you
wish to become a brigade commander of infantry, brigade commander of cavalry,
or a divisional artillery commander. Then submit information on your general,
such as their name, appearance and their background. The units in use will
have the generals email name.

Creating Civilians

You can choose a civilian character to play on homefront. Give Gary your info on your character like name age hair color and
biographical information.

Guidelines & Rules
In this game you will be asked to join the Confederate or the Union Army. A
person entering the game for the first time must start out with a brigade
command.

You can play a general of the army, corps, division, or brigade. You can have
both a division and a brigade, or you will only be able to have one if they
are all taken. If you don't want to be in the army, you can play a character
in the homefront.

All players will be asked to play in first person.

Commanders will send orders to the other commanding officers of your side.
It will be sent to Orders site.

People that play the homefront will post their messages on the site where it said civilians.

No profanity in the game.

No offfensive sexual comments, flaming or abuse.

Please check your email at least once every two days. If you intend to leave
for a substantial amount of time, you MUST email the owner to discuss terms of
a leave of abscence. NO UNANNOUNCED LURKING IS ALLOWED! PERIOD!

All insubordination will be dealt with by the commanding officer which could
result in reassignment.

Promotions will be given by commanding officers. After the nomination reaches
the army commander or overall commander, it must be submited to the president.
It will then be reviewed and if no objections arise, promotion will be granted.

Rank can be taken away in the North but not in the South. Historically bad
generals in the south were relocated. All promotions must have formal wording
and a date efective attached to be genuine.

No general shall be able to skip a rank when being promoted, ie, a Brigadier
General can only be promoted to Lt General, no furthur up.

Sounds interesting, but vague? What exactly to the civilaian players do?
Does this game have a map or a battle engine? Or is it purely a message board? I heard battles are done with the CWG2 game? So how is that done? Do players control their troops or just email general orders for the battles to be run by a game master?

There is a guy in the game that runs the CWG2 game He gos back and forth through the union and confederate pages to see movements and orders.

As for Civilaian Its rpg for them back and fourth how they want to do it.

Concerning this comment - Union officers were OFTEN relocated too like Butler, Scott and Halleck (kicked upstairs).

Thus I would say go with a uniform rule - dont have any demotions of officers unless they are insubordinate to a large degree.

You will probably get more Yanks signing up that way.

Questions:

1. How are battles fought? By umpires, game system such as HPS Campaign engine?

2. What is the unit of time: Day? Week? Half-Week?

3. Who is running the show? Is the website backed up regularily?

The game looks very interesting conceptually. Its very ambitious too and thus should be backed up ALOT.

Ok battles are run by CWG2.

This is the turns Skirmishes: 10 turns
Small Battles: 20 turns
Medium Battles: 50 turns
Large Battles 100 turns
If the battle is finished before the turns are done, the force left on the field wins.
You would need to check the site once or twice a day

I got a guy that uses CWG2 He gos be through union and Confederate orders to look at the movements then he puts the men where they are suppost to be.

Is the website backed up regularily? what you mean by this.

<br />Without having to dig through all of the forum sections - what is the role of each player and do you have any rules set out yet? A very ambitous project to say the least.
