Gents,
Thanks for the advice....we have 60 lbs of block ice and a cooler that will keep it cold, plus several other containers (like milk jugs) Probably 80-90 lbs of ice total.....we are located in a Non flood prone area in NE Harris county (Beltway and Old Beaumont Highway if that helps)......I have ridden out 2 major storms in homes on the west side of town in the past (Carla and Alicia), and as long as we are on the dry side of the storm and not too durn close to where this damnable Yankee storm hits I believe we'll be fine.....Oh and if something bad happens, all ya'll folks have my permission to file major victories against me (limit 43 per player please).....Lastly, I hope to actually enjoy the storm.....Ya think perhaps that is as stupid a statement as (paraphrased) "havin lots of fun killin Yankees" back in the early 1860s? I'll know in the next 48 hours.....Regards to all, Hank

The worst thing about the hurricane was the waiting....I actually really did a LOT of house cleaning I had needed to get accomplished in order to make room to get everything in from the storm....My backyard looks great again....one broken limb is all the damage I have discovered so far....We were lucky.....Regards, Hank
