Hi, All,

Just over at Matrix Games, and they have announced that they have obtained the rights to the old Talonsoft games. I'm not sure what they intend to do with them, but at least they are back in the hands of wargamers. Their address is:

There is a thread over at the NWC:
http://www.wargame.ch/board/nwc/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7339

From what I can see, expect to have to buy all the games AGAIN, at retail prices for questionable value. There seems to be a lot of things the MIGHT do, but SELLING the games looks like their main GOAL!

It all boils down to what is in it for them and that is only $$$$$$$$$$$ out of your pocket.

Why fix what ain't broken. All my BG games work fine!!!

they are saying they'll "improve" the games in some way, no clue what though.

That said, if you don't look at the NWC thread, this does <b>not</b> mean that HPS will be ending the campaign series.

I don't see a problem with it. Most if not all the BG games are out of print and near impossible to find. They say they'll bundle the games so the value will be there, especially for those who got into the games late. However, I'm guessing they won't be compatible with the older games which will make it tough on those wanting to play email in clubs like ours.

Could be good, could be bad.

Take 2 obviously flopped on Gettysburg release - no PBEM.

It can't be a bad thing, but they would have to be really full of improvements for me to buy them again. I still need to buy the HPS games I don't have first.
