Post subject: | Campaign Scenarios |
I know this has been talked about before but I cant find it. I am engaged in Campaign Shiloh with LTG Ed Blackburn. We have made it to the 5th Battle of the Campaign which we thought would be the full 86 turn battle. This turns out to be the 40 turn battle. I am also engaged at Shiloh with Gen Colin Gaskill. Our campaign has taken us to the full 86 turn battle. This is scenario #144. Looking at the file for the game with Ed, we can't seem to figure out which scenario we are playing and why we didnt get the full battle. Below are the opening lines of the file. ----- PEM Header ----- 1 0 -1 -1 11 Shiloh "Place of Peace"; April 5, 1862 1862 4 5 5 0 0 0 1 40 10 20 30 2 10 20 30 2 -750 -350 800 1500 4 4 1 0 131071 596 524 Shiloh(a).map Shiloh.oob winter 1861-2.pdt 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 2 2 2 What I dont see is a scenario number. I have narrowed the scenario down to #171-174. I believe it is one of these 4 scenarios but not sure. Can anyone give me the real deal on this? Thanks, Dan Colonel D.H. Col Smith, Campaigns use the scenario files in the Campaign Folder not those in the main folder and the numbers are not the same. If you look there you'll see scenario 163 Sh_Place of Peace!, it is the only file with that name that has the 11 at the top of the header, the rest all have a 10. 11 Shiloh "Place of Peace"; April 5, 1862 1862 4 5 5 0 1 0 1 40 10 20 30 2 10 20 30 2 -750 -350 800 1500 4 4 1 0 4292 800 700 Shiloh(a).map Shiloh.oob winter 1861-2.pdt 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 2 2 2 These numbers are close to those of #171 with only the last number in line 7 and line 8 being different. I think these are dependent on your campaign values and the turn you open the file. If you're trying to figure out which scenario to register the game as I'm not sure whether they want the Campaign number or the game number. I have been using the campaign folder number for campaigns. Gen. Ken Miller Army of the Shenandoah |
