An officer walks into the Tavern. He is dressed in his new Uniform and sports 3 stars on his shoulders.

Behind him walks 4 burly lieutenants. they are carrying cases of Kentucky sipping whiskey. They put them on the bar and the General says in a loud clear voice...

"Allow me to get you all drunk at my expense, to celebrate my promotion. Drinks on me"

Another General follows Lt. General Corbin, two Sergeants behind him carrying a roast pig.

If he's got the drinks, I have food!

Let's Party!

My Congratulations to all 10 Officers promoted this day. [:D]

It is a terrible shame, that these men have erred on the side of Tyranny . . . but that said . . . they have shown dignity, pride and conviction of purpose in their dooties.

For that . . They deserve the Respect and Thanks of all . . . involved in this internicine conflict of ours.

A toast to the GENERALS of the Union . . . . . tonite, let's forget our differences and unite in the Grandest strategy known to Mankind!

Let's ALL get P*ssed!! [:p]

Salute Gentlemen!

Allow me to add my congrats to all our new union generals and those who have added additional stars. Special congrats to Gen Sands and Lt.Gen Bangma.[:D]

Now if Gen Carroll brought some of that good southern whiskey with him I'd be happy to help him dispose of it. It seems with all the recent celebrations I have severely depleted my stock of captured whiskey.[;)]

Lieutenant General John Corbin,

Sir, I will proudly take up that Gauntlet. How many men (ten per side?) What field and what battle? Would any Rebs dare take on the Union's Finest. Ready for action Sir!

Congratulations on your deserved promotions, gentlemen! I'll join you for a glass or four; 'course, I always do...[:D][:D]

And why not, it is one of the largest lists of promotions for our fighting generals that I have seen! Ever! Also a longer list than any Rebel one, that's for sure![;)]
