Gentlemen

I am pleased to announce that Brig. Gen. Phiip Roubaud has been appointed Signals Officer for the War College. Gen Roubaud's chief duty will be to show us effete easterners what a real soldier is like.

Further, you may recall that a few months ago the War College appointed Gen Jeff Laub as Assistant Commandant. Unfortunately his recent demotion to Chief of Union Armies [;)] has meant he no longer has to time to commit to the august position of War College AC and he has had to step down.

The War College wishes him all the best. In his short tenure I was privileged to get a sense of what a fine officer and gentlemen he is. The Union is lucky to have him.

However, our luck has held and I am happy to announce that Maj. Gen. Don Golen is the new Assistant Commandant with the War College. Gen Golen is no stranger to this Tavern and I think all will agree that the College has once more gotten lucky.

Drinks for all three of these fine Officers, if you please.

I am also delighted to announce that with the new staff confirmed and some other issues straightened out the War College has once more become a hot bed of activity. I predict you will soon be seeing a lot of things happening in every aspect of the College's traditional roles as well as some new programs and services.

Sirs, God Preserve the Union!

Gentlemen,

As is my wont, I'll join in the free drinks real quick! [:D]

As a variation, I'll buy my way into the round for these fellers do deserve free drinks![;)]

All the work they do and the enjoyment they give us (particularly when a plan provided helps us win against them dastardly Rebs) means they we owe these gentlemen plenty of drinks! [^]

So, drink up boys, there's more coming![:o)][:p][:p]

Congrats you Northern Scondrels.

Having crossed swords a few times with MG Golen, I wish you the best. While I am at it I will give Lt Gen Mike Kaulbars, a rebel yell. Best of luck to all. It is an honor to beat up and get beat up from you all.

My many thanks to Lt. Gen. Kaulbars for his warm welcome to the hallowed halls of the Union Army War College. I only hope that I can live up to his expectations.

That having been said, I would welcome and encourage all Union Army officers to file intelligence reports on their Rebel opponants after every game if at all possible. You can file all intelligence reports here:

Respectfully,

Congrats to General Golen Suh, when ya'll get a chance drop on in at the Chickasaw Saloon for a round or three on me. And to Lt. Quick and General Kaulbars on their work on the WC site. But I still haven't got the password to get into your Favortie Reb page and see who's ya'll favorite reb is[:p]. In the mean time drop on over for a round or three on General Golen, by the time you get there, he'll be passed out in the corner and you can pick his pockets[:D]for some spare change[;)]

General Golen, Sir!

You've disappointed me sir. Either you didn't notice the mantrap by the three holer out back or, even more doubtful, you've spent the last three weeks in that dive.

My only question, considering the quality of the paint stripper they drink there, is do you remember any of it?
