I think it's fairly clear that there's not really a great deal more room for discussion, in that you're pretty obviously committed to realism at all costs, while I tend towards playability being very important (though not to the level of playing Axis and Allies).

I do wish though, that we had the choices to have both out there. I think there's enough room for a game that would keep the hardcore grogs happy, while still having one that would be playable for people like me. I don't have a problem with having true Grog-games out there, I just don't want a game I've played for years dragged into that realm, leaving me nothing to play.
