Gentlemen of the North and South,
I have an uncle who knows I am passionate about the ACW. He has asked of me a question.
Who in the American Civil War was a Priest at 16 and General at 20?
I do not know the answer but maybe someone here does.
My uncle is from Ireland and maybe the the person that he speaks of was Irish or had Irish blood.

A mere rough guess based on his age at commissioning as a General - 20 years! [;)]
