Post subject:  Vote - ACWGC Rules Revisions

Gentlemen of the Club,

The Cabinet has reviewed the comments submitted since the revised rules were implemented and has passed the following two resolutions for club-wide vote:

1) Delete rule 3.1.2.3.d and renumber 3.1.2.3.e to 3.1.2.3.d.

2) Change rule 5.1.2 to read "Lone 'Col. Anon' leaders (that is, any number of 'Col. Anon' officers not stacked with at least one cavalry, infantry, or artillery unit) will not be used in front of your lines as scouts to determine the position of enemy forces. Positioning any officers on high ground behind your lines to better view the battlefield, however, is perfectly acceptable."

The first item removes the club-wide rule requirement that corps commanders maintain their own web sites. (Corps web sites may still be required by individual armies, just not by club rules.) The second restricts the 'scouting with leaders' house rule to only apply to 'Col. Anon' replacements. (If you want to play historically and send Stonewall Jackson out on that scouting expedition, that will be up to you.)

These changes have been authorized by a majority of the Cabinet and are now being submitted for club-wide vote, per club rules (section 9.0). Please post your vote in this thread. The 'polls' will remain open for two weeks (closing on May 11). At that time, if there are more 'yes' votes than 'no' votes, these changes will become effective.

The Cabinet did not see a need to break these down into separate votes. If this is a problem, they can be divided.

Your humble servant,
Gen 'Dee Dubya' Mallory
