Post subject:  ACWGC Presidential elections

Fellow Members,

It is with sad heart I announce my resignation as President of the ACWGC. After 9 great years the time has come to let someone else take the lead. The experience of the last few Cabinet elections and the membership acceptance of the revised club rules have set the stage for a good process for the election.

I would like to take this opportunity to give a sincere thanks to those that have contributed to the success of the ACWGC. There are so many people, past and present, that I will not give their names here for fear of overlooking and offending someone. You know who you are, the ones that have provided ideas, time and energy to make this the best and most copied club on the web. I am very optimistic for the future of the club with over 50 people completing enrollment forms this month indicating a continued interest in the format.

I will continue to participate in the club and provide support as needed and wanted. I have asked the Cabinet to form an election committee. Generals Ernie Sands and Patrick Carroll have volunteered and will be organizing the elections. They will provide you with the schedule within the next few days.

Thanks to all that have supported me and I look forward to many more years of active participation in the ACWGC.

Best Regards,

General Pierre D.

Pierre, please accept my sincere thanks and appreciation for all that you have done for the Club over the years. My time spent here has been a joy of untold pleasures of which I have never before experienced. I do hope that someone will step forward to try and fill the huge shoes that you wear!

Respectfully,

Pierre,

Let me add my thanks also. We've only met once on the field in the 1862 campaign from the old campaign office and you and your partner soundly trounced me when I left a hole in my lines. I have had the pleasure of meeting you in person at the reunion several years ago and your service to the club has been invaluable. Thank you.

General Desruisseaux Sir *Salute*
It's not very long that I'm in the club, but it's many years that I knew it and I was hoping to enter in it. You are an exemple for many players in the world, and I'm very proud of serving during your mandate sir.

General Desruisseaux
SALUTE!!!

Pierre, well we have been through the great times and a few rough roads but without your founding and guiding hand the club would not be what it is today-the best dang club on the internet!!!

Thank you for providing myself and so many others a forum to play and discuss our favorite games. I will always be grateful.

I am loath to close. We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.
