A story I heard about when I was stationed out in California. It was about a company of Marines, out training in the hills at Camp Pendleton, they were marching through a cut in some hills when out pops a Seabee from behind a outcrop of rocks and yelling down some cat calls and such. Well the young LT. ordered a marine up the hill to take out the Seabee, but as the marine neared the Seabee he ducked behind the rocks and the Marine gave chase. The next thing you hear is a bunch of yelling and screaming, then after a while the Seabee came back out and did the same thing in yelling at the Marines, so the Lt. sent up a fire team and the same thing happened the Marines disappeared over the hill and more yelling and scream. But no Marine returned, again the Seabee appeared at the top of the hill. So the Lt. sent up a platoon, but this time after the Marines disappeared over the rise, followed by yelling and screaming a lone Marine returned all battered, brused, and beat up, and he reported to his Lt. and said it was an ambush. There were two of them (Seabees)[:p]. But this was just a rumor, or was it. For all of ya'll ex-marines

I recall hearing the same story with the guys being SEALS, Rangers or Green Berets.

Brings to mind something my Drill Sergeant said, "There are two kinds of people in this world, Marines and those who wish they were Marines." [:D]

The story began long ago as an ethnic slur by the Norwegians against the Swedish. But, it translates well as suggested.

Reminds me of another one:
A Sergeant Major and a Major are in the bathroom taking a leak. The old NCO finishes first and turns to leave. The major stops him, saying, "excuse me sergeant major, but at West Point they taught us to wash our hands after we urinate."
The old sergeant responded, "well sir, at the NCO Academy, they taught us not to piss on 'em." (hands)
So I guess for you Navy/USMC types, you could change it to something like a Commander and a Master Chief and say at the Naval Academy.
