Sir's
Here's a Q that haz been bothering me. Am new to all this, and while playing i have noticed a temptable sin. While i was playing i hit a wrong button on the menue bar, and it closed my turn out mid way through my turn. I had to go back to my e-mail, and download from start. Now am faced with a couple of options. 1. stay true to form 2. Use the the information learned to better my position. I try to file save az i go along, but this also haz a glitch which will send me back to start. Iz their any way to overcome this problem.

Capt. Tavison,

My advice is always the same: Stay true to yourself. Remember that even your defeats will improve your game, if you're willing to learn from your mistakes. The NEXT time you play this scenario, you'll be harder to defeat because you've learned from experience, and not by taking unfair advantage.

It's happened to most if not all of us.

I just restart the turn, and do everything as nearly the same and in the same order as possible, and then proceed from there. Sometimes the results will change, but that's OK. I wouldn't use what I had learned before and do something different.

Reynaldo this happens to all who game. Fortunately in the HPS series there is a fix to that problem. It is found under Settings on the Toolbar, then click on Ask Before Advancing! Then when you hit the wrong key up comes a dialogue box whichs asks the question so that you get a second chance and can continue as before! In the future, you should let your opponent know if you replayed and the reason why.

Mistakes happen all the time in gaming, for me they usually happen because I have too much on my plate (too many battles going) and I am in a hurry. I had a case where my opponent had one of his leaders move into a hex in advance of any of his units. He told me of his mistake when exchanging turns. Being a Southern Gentleman, I left his leader alone. We are still gaming today! Battles may be gamed over and over but good opponents and good Club friends are far more important than the results of any bad/mistaken move!

Respectfully,

Save, save, save ....

If this is a campaign game, you have to exit or it won't save. In fact, it saves on exit whether you like it or not.

The worst part for me is having to redo all the movement on a long Gettysburg turn! Invariably, it's when I'm hurrying to catch up with a bunch of game turns, and I'm less than careful![:D]
