Post subject:  1st HACW - Wilson's Creek - Yank needed
Wilson's Creek, Mo. August 10, 1861.

The Union soldiers in Springfield were in a precarious situation. No pay, poor clothing, bad food and many men were 90 days enlistees. US Brigadier-General Nathaniel Lyon decided to attack the Confederate army camped at Wilson's Creek under CS Brigadier-General Ben McCulloch. Two columns marched out on the night of August 9 for a dawn attack.

We need one USA and one CSA officers to play this scenario.
The first two officers to reply will fight this battle for 16 points in the 1stHACW.

The scenario can be played on BGS 01. The Battle of Wilson's Creek (18 turns)
or Campaign Ozark 03. The Battle of Wilson's Creek (21 turns).

CS Lt. Gen. Rob Harney wrote to me today asking to participate in the tournament. Unfortunately, he has communication problems and he can't access the Mason-Dixon Tavern to post a challenge. He ask me to post a challenge for him in the first available battle. I accept his request.

I know for sure that he has the BGS game so the challenge is for BGS 01. The battle of Wilson's Creek. If LG Harney and his challenger both have the Campaign Ozark game, you can settle for the CO 03 version, no problem with that.

Lt. Gen. Rob Harney is now signed to play this scenario. Any Union officer interested to fight this battle, respond here so I can register you. But please contact LG Harney at:

LTG harney has Battleground Shiloh and I have Campaign Ozark, so we can not play each other in this one.

The slot is open for a Union player to battle LTG Harney using the BG Shiloh engine.
