Gentlemen,

I am calling for four good men, reliable players as well, to embark on a new Multiplayer Game I have just put together. If your a Rebel or Yankee Club Member is not important. The game will occur on HPS Chickamauga. Anyone wanting more information or to volunteer can contact me here or, preferably, email me at stricklerblake[at]yahoo(dot)com. I can promise you it will be a new and unique game!

Will this have a "umpire" function like we have used in a few MP games?

What's an "umpire" function?

Remember I am from Chicago and havent trusted umpires since they blew that fan interference call in the 2003 NLCS! Lousy Cubs.... :(

I believe Gen. Sands is referring to the Tessier style MP games played a few years ago, for more info see

The idea originally started with the Napoleonic games and was introduced to the ACWGC by Jess Norris. I ran these two back when real life was not so hectic for me, hopefully some day in the future it will settle down and I can do another one.

Ah, I remember hearing about those.

The simple answer is "no." The two-on-two game has all players moving for themselves. I guess I am the "moderator" but I dont do anything except ask to be cc'd all the turns so I can watch the fun from above.

I developed the game to be a sort of "test run" for a series of battles eventually stretching into a massive campaign to start later this year. I keep the number of players involved to a rational level to keep the game running steadily. There is also a system of more realistic objectives, railroad arrivals, and unknown enemy motives that come into play.

The Fog of War is very tough as neither side knows what they are up against and the map is unknown until starting time (even then they can't see the full scenario just their side of it).

I have one game going already with four volunteers but wanted to try and find four more here to see if I could get more feedback and to learn more about scenario design and mechanics.

I have one volunteer already and could use at least three more if anyone is interested.

Thanks!
