I'll be your Huckleberry for Overland - though I might not be able to quite match your file turn around. Campaign, series of scenarios, or single battle.

Greetings,

I am a newly commissioned officer in the Army of the Cumberland, looking for my first game post training.. I would be glad to play a single battle with you from the Shiloh game. I think I can match your turnaround rate. My only wishes are that my forces have artillery, cavalry, and infantry as I am trying to gain experience using all three.

I would like a shorter game so as to broaden my experience. Since I expect I will make some rookie mistakes, I would rather play several short games as this point in my gaming history.

For optional rules, I think MDF, and no quality modifiers for fire or melee. As far as house rules go, I am not familiar with them but I understand limiting melee for units in column to certain types of hexes is pretty standard. I can be flexible on all of these.

I am in the Eastern time zone of the US.

I await your reply.

Regards,

"...limiting melee for units in column to certain types of hexes is pretty standard..." only to those in the club that prefer that house rule, but it not a club standard by any means and there are many of us who do not play with it nor any of the other house rules. As you indicated, there is nothing wrong with playing either way as long as both opponents agree to it.

Welcome aboard and go get 'em.
