Gentlemen,

if there is anyone interested in playing a full (preferably mirrored) campaign (using Dropbox folders and files sharing system), in any of the following games:

- Civil War Battles 01 - Campaign Corinth
- Civil War Battles 02 - Campaign Ozark
- Civil War Battles 03 - Campaign Franklin
- Civil War Battles 04 - Campaign Peninsula
- Civil War Battles 05 - Campaign Shiloh
- Civil War Battles 06 - Campaign Gettysburg
- Civil War Battles 07 - Campaign Vicksburg
- Civil War Battles 08 - Campaign Atlanta
- Civil War Battles 09 - Campaign Chickamauga
- Civil War Battles 10 - Campaign Chancellorsville
- Civil War Battles 11 - Campaign Antietam
- Civil War Battles 12 - Campaign Overland

, then please feel free to contact me at the gunnodayak at yahoo dot com email address and we can speak about the details. Personally, I would take C. Hecht's recommended optional rules from his "HPS/JTS Civil War series Optional Rules Guide 1.02" recent post as a reference, but that is negotiable, of course.

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

I replied to your email.

I'm not sure about playing mirrored, but I'd do a campaign.

Haven't played Chick, Vick, or Shiloh and would be willing.

Pat

Would be nice if the gentlemen share their experience with dropbox. I thought about using it too but it mainly seems a benefit when doing large files, that seems why it is used by the boardgamers.

Hi,

it creates a benefit for any situation because instead of creating an email and attaching a file and/or opening an email and downloading a file, you just click and drag a file in your computer (not in the internet browser or email client) from one folder (game installation folder) to another (Dropbox shared folder) and the other way around while replacing (overwriting/updating) the old file. You also have the history of that file, you can restore it to older versions in case something happens and so on. I am using Dropbox for many years when it comes to games that are using saved files that must go from one user to another.

Thanks. Allow me one question, do you have to monitor or are you notified in some way when your opponent has uploaded a new file?

The offer is still opened, I have no ongoing games at the moment.
