Post subject:  New Year, looking for a game - Closed

It's a new year and I want to add a game.
Post is a bit long so if you're not willing to use the Artillery Capture option you can stop here, I don't play without it.
With the 4.04 update removing the requirement to have a unit on the captured gun to keep the VP's I see no reason not to use it.

Willing to play either Turn Mode with
Full Melee Defensive Fire
Optional Melee Resolution

Or Phase Mode with ADF ON.

In either case my required Optional Rules
Victory Points for Leader Casualties
Density Fire Modifier
Night Movement Fatigue
Mounted Cavalry Skirmishers
Quality Melee Modifiers
Isolation Rules
Weak Zone-Of-Control
Partial Retreats
Automated Defensive Fire
Flank Morale Modifier
Bridge Limit and Repairing
Artillery Capture
Artillery Retire By Prolonge
Artillery Ammo by Cannon

I require Rout Limiting if you wish to use Quality Fire Modifiers, evens things up for the favorable class ratings given to the rebels.
Otherwise it's your choice.

I don't care either way about these, your choice
Optional Fire Results
Optional Melee Results
Limited Artillery Unlimber
Higher Disrupted Movement
Alternate Fixed Unit Release
Mixed Organization Penalty
Proportional Opportunity Fire
Mixed Organization Penalty
Extreme Fog of War

I don't use
Manual Defensive Fire – only needed to select Phase Mode with ADF ON
Higher Fatigue Recovery

House rules
No infantry column attacks except at bridges/fords or the first hex after crossing. This is the only way to melee across a bridge and if your opponents sets up one hex back you can still melee in column.
During night turns no advance beyond your forward positions. You may move around behind your lines, if you have an outpost on a road you can move along the road until you reach your unit.
For my reasoning on this you can see
https://wargame.ch/board/acwgc/viewtopi ... 34&t=22656

I can provide 2-3 turns a week, perhaps more.
I have all the WDS ACW games and I'm willing to play any scenario or campaign in any of them including mods except Overland or Petersburg games.
Normally play the yanks but willing to switch sides if you want to do so.

You can send a PM or email me.

Sir,

I am interested and available to play historical scenarios with Weather from the Western theater of the ACW occurring before 1864. I own Atlanta, Chickamauga, Corinth, Ozark, Shiloh, and Vicksburg.

I have read your post and have no issues with the optional and House rules you have listed. I prefer having Extreme Fog of War on simply because I am not in favor of players being able to select a hex to determine visible hexes without a unit actually on the hex. I also prefer that the Quality Fire option be on for the reason you mentioned.

If you wish to play feel free to select a scenario and options and send it my way. My 'gaming email' is Dwain.Cunningham@gmail.com.

Thank You!

Hey I am up for a game if you have the time. I prefer the most simulation possible. If a stat game I have to be union, prefer to be reb if a non stat game.
I f you want, send me a game start at eobrian002@yahoo.com The size and the length are up to you, I have a lot of time,

Erin

Brigadier General Dwain Cunningham,
Email on the way, I picked Weather_MS_Johnston invades Ky (v.1).scn, 86 turns.
I have never played it, appears like it should be pretty even numbers wise.
Since you did not specify Mode I set it as Turn Mode with all my selected options,
plus your requested Extreme FOW and Quality Fire Option along with the Rout Limiting I require as a trade off for it.
You have the actual first move.

Mr. O'Brian,
Couldn't find you in either roster.
Sorry but this fills my dance card, have several other non club games running.
Will keep you in mind when one of those finishes up.
