Can anyone recommend a good bio on Sheridan?

Little Phil by Eric Wittenberg. I try to usually read Civil War histories written by professional historians, but Wittenberg--a lawyer by trade-- does a good job of reevaluating Sheridan's career. Spoiler alert: he is highly critical.

Thanks for the input.
I went with Terrible Swift Sword and, I have to say, I'm not too impressed yet.

Here is an interview with Wittenberg from 2005. In it (part three) he covers his feelings on Sheridan which are not at all flattering. Basically, Sheridan was a rogue general who did his own thing and couldn't follow orders. He believes Grant's indulgence of his insubordination was based on a personal friendship and admiration (and also probably a dislike of the eastern army generals who followed the rules too much).

Sheridan-The life & wars of Gen. Phil Sheridan
by Roy Morris, Jr.

This is my favorite book on Sheridan.
