I am running the BG/Matrix series on Windows 7 and find that with that combination, there is no help/parameter data, Order of Battle, etc., as has been available with earlier OS. Is there anyone who knows of a work around or other solution to getting access to the parameter data for the BG games?

The Matrix version has the battle manual available in PDF, but this still does not include important information like weapons effectiveness, melee matrix, and pertinent information for the selected scenarios. I would consider this information as a must have for any battle of these games, especially in making decisions for target selection and planning melees.

Having already asked a few who should know, I would be surprised if there is someone who does have a technical solution. My non technical solution is that we should have a site available to the club for BG players to copy or download the information. We would need one for each of the 5 game titles because of small but significant differences.

Possibly a site with downloadable parameter data could be a draw for recruiting outside Matrix/BG players.

Alternatively, there could be a sharing, or passing around of the information as pdf files.

Does anyone have a good idea how to allow this information to be available to everyone?

I just downloaded this the other day because I have windows 8.1. It works fine now, like back in the old days.
