I did.

I played it..........but tired of it quickly.

It's real time and I usually prefer not to play those type of games.

I should try it again...........the graphics are pretty good.

No pause button?
Just have to click faster than the AI.

My problem in the past with these type games including SoW is they degenerate into mobs if not micromanaged.

SoW suffers from a strangely implemented AI which can counter player orders. This wouldn't be so bad if there were some obvious logic to what it does but sometimes it looks almost random. Their newest game on Waterloo apparently has AI problems so bad that it is unplayable. The AI just takes over and starts randomly marching your troops around the battlefield.

The Gettysburg version isn't that bad but it really irritates me that you can't advance a line of battle more than a few hundred feet without the regiments going into column. Making an attack like Pickett's charge would require you to pause the game every few minutes so you could visit every regiment and order it forward another 100 feet to keep them in line formation.

I never even got that far..............It did not take me long to realize SoW was a disaster and an unplayable monster.
