I'm trying to play someone in the Antietam game, Battle of first Bull Run scenario.

I'm union player.

They set up the game and sent it over.

I've made my turn and sent it back.

It won't open for them. They get an error message.

My games are completely upgraded.

anyone have a suggestion?

Garret

Is your opponent upgraded?

ARe you playing the JTS game at V3.0?

Is your opponent using HIS correct password?

TRY to load game file you sent, perhaps you did not properly END your turn. If it loads, close out your turn and play on.

What error message does your opponent get?

If all else fails, re-start scenario and play on.

Afaik HPS/JTS games are not really precise in reporting what is wrong, usually we only get an error message without details.
So question is when does that come up?
If opening the file, the file is likely damaged.
If when confirming the password, the password is wrong.

Since you both were able to play one turn I would say it's probably not a problem with any of the games files.
Also I have not heard any reports of problems with scenarios in Antietam.

Do you both have the same version ? Current version is 3.0.

If it doesn't report a problem with his password then I would think the file is corrupted.

You could try resending your turn, or download his turn 1 file again, redo your turn and resend it to him.
Personally I keep all emails in a folder until a game is completed just in case a file gets corrupted, it has happened a few times in my 20 plus years of pbem gaming.
With the larger attachment sizes and faster speeds of today zipping files has gone out of favor. Unfortunately because I noticed we had less trouble with zipped files.

If that doesn't work then since it is turn 1 the easiest solution would probably be to start over.
