The 3rd Division, V Corps, AoP also known as the 5 Aces have put out a challange to any Rebel Divison that would like to take them on for the honor of being the Division champions.

The 5 aces recently finished a battle with a Rebel Division and won.

We are ready to take on another Division to uphold our Chanpionship claim.
The basic rules are, there must be 5 players per side with at least 3 from one Division. You will have your choice of Quality Fire or Quality Melee but not both. The other rules will be open to discussion. The battle must be agreed upon by all parties and needs to be 45 turn or less, prefer less. Their will be 5 individual battles and all parties will play the same battle unless for reasons of not having the correct CD for the battle then an alternate may be agreeded upon.
Winner will be the Division with 3 out of 5 wins.
A win is a Minor or Major Victory (points will not be counted)
If a tie then the two winning player from each side will play a
multi-play to determine the winner.
Come on Johnny Reb lets have a go at it.

Gen. Passmore,

In the AoP's Tavern you have posted this message:

<font color="orange">"The 3rd Division, V Corps, AoP know by some as the
5 Aces have struck fear in the Rebel army.

Taking on a whole Division in the Army of Northern Virginia and beating them with 5 out of 5 wins must have put the fear of God in the whole army.

The 5 aces have posted a challange to any division in the Confederate army and have not been able to get any takers.
We will post again and see if we can get them to come out of hiding.

A drink for the house barkeep and a salute to the men of the 3rd division."</font id="orange">

I'm one of 5 "loser" of the II Division, II Corps, ANV and I think it's not very difficult for you to remain Aces until when the battlefield is South Mountain (historical) and with optional rules in your favour.
You have win but remember to respect a little more your opponents ....

Good luck for your next challenge!

Gentlemen;
I probably shouldn't wade into the middle of this but maybe you guys could play the same scenario only reverse the sides. That way there will be no dispute over who the real victors were. Maybe the point differentials will tell the tale. Or, Colonel Ubaldi, you might pick up the challenge again only this time pick a scenario you think is more to your likeing. Just some ideas.

Lt. Golen,

Thanks for your ideas but I think the 5 Aces win with merit the challenge and I have no recrimination on scenario and rules because they are decided together before the start.
No doubt on who are the real victors.

I think only the Gen. Passmore's proclamation is a little exaggerated. Don't you think?

Gentlemen ( and that goes for you Rebs also [;)])

This post has been lost I guess but I see its back now [?]

Colonel Ubaldi I do repect all the players in the Division Battle.

The quot. you highlighted was not posted in the Mason/Dixon tavern or the PBEM post. I only posted it in the AOP Rosies tavern.

I did not intend for it to go to the whole club but to the men of the AOP although I am not ashamed of the post.

Colonel Adam "Red Reb" Wadding! Colonel Doc Jones is handling this Division battle this time and I believe he has one about set up with the AoA you may want to check with some of the Division in the AoA and get in on it. Colonel Jones e-mail is teebone@fdn.com and you are correct there are only 4 aces in a deck thats what makes us so hard to beat. [:D]

Colonel Hank Smith AoG I think we have one about going with the AoA however I will check with the AoP and see if we can handle two at the same time. Colonel Doc Jones with the AoP. tebone@fdn.com is going to handle the Division battle this time.

General Passmore,

when you put your "proclamation" on AoP Tavern the tavern was free and for this reason I don't see problems about his publicity.[:p]

After all you are not ashamed of it and thanks to my publicity you and your Division have a series of challenge that will keep busy until 2010.[:D]

It seems that the Rebels are not very afraid of the "5 Aces" ....[;)]
