Best assistance I can give you is to switch to Mozilla Firefox for your browser. Been running it for a couple of months now without a lick of problems. It has a built in pop-up blocker and security. I like it better then IE.

I completely agree with Mark. I, too, have installed Mozilla Firefox and it is truely great. Just give yourself some time to adapt to the minor changes, because there are a few, and you will not regret it. You can import all of your favorites from IE over, too, so that is not a problem either.

Service Pack 2 caused more p[roblems than it solved in many ways. The security MS installed got so tight it won't allow you to do the things you need to do and you have to click your way through stupid permission popups about blocking content you wanted to see in the first place. That is why I changed and I haven't regretted it one bit.
