Has anyone used or currently using the Firefox web browsers. I downloaded it the other day and just getting use to it. It seems to run a little faster then IE 6.0 which I was using, I've got dial up since I live out in the county and no cable or dsl in the area.

I use it and I love it. No more pop-ups!

I have it too and it seems pretty solid. I'm using the Mozilla Thunderbird email program and that is good too.

I downloaded it a few months ago and use it occassionally. Of course I've never been an IE user. Been using Netscape since coming online in 1995. The two are very similar and have to be related in some way since as long as I can remember Netscape has had a folder called Mozilla relating to their mail. Still mostly use Netscape though as there is not that much difference.

Me too. The only thing is downloading files from email. I need to find out how to direct it to a specific folder rather than to the desktop. Any guidance on that Mark or Antony? Like maybe I shoud read the directions?[V]

I use Outlook Express for my mail therefore no trouble with files. I think you meant files from the internet. I think Mozilla is set up to specifically download to the desktop as a security issue. I think this prevents any spyware from loading anywhere else but I don't know enough about that aspect or how to override it. I just download to the desktop and move from there.

I've been using it for awhile and it works well for me. However, you'll find some web sites don't work correctly and you may have to use IE. For example, on the Asus web site, none of the hypertext links function at all. On my own army's AoC page, the pop-up text for medals and awards don't work either. The same things that give it the benefits (reduced pop-up ads and such) can cause the difficulties. I wish I didn't have to use IE at all anymore, because on all three of my computers with XP SP2 IE responding after a few minutes and has to be restarted only to freeze again later [:(!]
