Howdy all,

I finally have the time to reinstall my games and now I am unable to do so. I'm getting an error message Windows\system32\autoexec.nt can not run dos mode. Anbody else run into this? I tried the help at MS but have had no luck getting their "fixes" to work.

You tried this:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;324767
and it didn't solve the problem?

This seems to be an error after updating to WINXP SP2.

Also, run ad-aware or spybot to get rid of possible programs that delete that file.

If the link doesn't work for you, search on Microsoft.com for Knowledge Base article 324767.

I've had a similar problem. fixed it by copying the autoexec.nt file from the repair folder in windows to the system32 folder.
I found the file in: C:\windows\repair. copy it to c:\windows\system32 folder.

Hope this works for you.
Use the windows explorer to move files.

good luck

Thanks for the advice! I'm on my way to work but it seems to be letting me install BGBR. I know what I'll be doing this evening!Coping the file worked like a charm :)
